Post Controlling ProTools 8.0.5 LE with Bitstream 3x‏
Hi, I'm Lucas. I'm new in this community.
A year ago I purchased a Bitsceream 3x and I read that support protools using the Mackie emulation , however no matter what I tried I can not run it and protools freezes after the HUI Config . Is there something I'm missing?
Since I purchase it I had problems trying to set it to be used whit my DAW. Please tell me how to make it work.

Here are the specs:
Firmware version 1.8
Hardware version 2.0
Serie 633
Serial number 0536
Year 06
Month 3

Here some Screens

Configuration software

The pdf ( ... rev1.5.pdf) shows examples in ableton and cubase. I tried the same. I uploaded with the 'WaveIdea BS3X configuration software' the Mackie operating mode as shown in the pdf . Then I open Setup on Pro Tools ----->Pheripherals -----> Midi controlers : Type(HUI) Receive From(Bitscream 3x) Send to (Bistrscream 3x Emulated) #Ch's(8) . and there , the program freezes. The same happened on Pro Tools 8 hd & Protools 10.

step 1
Midi Controllers

Also I tried with nuendo, cubase and reason and it worked very well...

It's strange that on the internet I saw no information of people using this controller with protools

I tried contact with support of but they stopped answering my questions ...It's a shame . So, please I Would really appreciate if someone can help me.
